Kettle Bells

Kettle bells or ‘girya’ have been used for hundreds of years – the term first appeared in a Russian dictionary in 1704. Along with increasing your heart rate, they work every muscle group in your body. Because most movements are done standing, kettle bells work the core muscles the way they’re intended. It’s less about lifting and more about stabilising against additional forces of gravity, so the deep postural muscles have to engage constantly to maintain balance and form.

Coupled with a Pilates workout, it’s a fabulous way to improve your posture, increase your strength and flexibility and heart and lung health. It’s suitable for all – just let us know if you have any existing injuries.

Classes are at 8pm on Tuesdayand 6pm on Thursday.
